Forming mediators with SEPROJOVEN and the Olypmic Committee of Costa Rica
"SEPROJOVEN is running several projects. One of its main projects this year was the formation of a group of young women living in “Guararí” and “Los Cuadros de Purral”, two poor districts located in Heredia and San José in the heart of Costa Rica.
This formation is sponsored by the Olympic Committee of Costa Rica called “Comisión Mujer y Deporte del Comité Olímpico”, trying to train them to mediators who are able to organize own projects and be leaders for their communities and families.The formation is not only playing football and lots of other games but presentations from former other leaders and athletes, karate and self-defense, bowling and much more. After one year of teambuilding, lots of sport, presentations, discussions and excercises, the formation is finished with a soccer-festival for children from “Guarari” and “Los Cuadros de Purral”, organized by the 14-20 year old women, and after all a graduation."
